The beginning of the end…
Of the End(s) of the Earth(s). Well, actually, that’s not 100% accurate. While it’s true, this is the EPILOGUE to EotEs, it really is MUCH more than that. I don’t want to give away too much, but the next 8 pages are also the PROLOGUE to an upcoming, TOP SECRET DDD story. By the time we wrap up this epilogue/prologue you’ll have no doubt that what’s coming NEXT will be without a doubt the most AMBITIOUS…nay, the most EPIC Deep Dive Daredevils’ story yet! Stay tuned for more details as the weeks progress…
In the meantime, isn’t it FANTASTIC to have Danilo Guida back? Of course, it goes without saying that Smilton did some great work and was more than a worthy steward of the crew in the interim, but as I’ve said before, Danilo is the heart and soul of the Deep Dive Daredevils. It’s a joy to have Joe and the gang back under his pen, and it’s also pretty neat to see Danilo’s take on the KajPereans and their village, am I right? Welcome home, my friend!
Be here NEXT WEEK when Joe and the Princess’ reception really HEATS up! Surely, Doc is overreacting about the imminent DANGER and all that, right? Yeah, what does Doc know anyway? Put your worries aside and don your best formal wear because in just 7 days you are cordially invited to the event of the season. And, did I mention…OPEN BAR! Heh.
Man-oh-man, I did something to my back this morning, and even just sitting in this chair typing is literally killing me right now. So, I am gonna wrap this blog up lickity-split, and hope that my aching back feels better come morning. Jeez, it really sucks getting old.
Anyways, till next week!
-Matt-
Nice Wrap Up!
I’m still wondering about the Deveraux/McGinty tangent of the story (as I’m sure I’m supposed to).
- I think poor Deveraux will need to re-join the DDD crew, or he is going to have quite a swim in front of him. Unless the bad guys, or the villagers, will kindly take him on.
- Oh, and we still don’t know what the dagger in the statue is for.
That village scene could be used for a travel brochure. Too bad that (just off camera) the real doom to come to the Island will most likely take the form of a Starbucks, 3 McDonalds, and a Wal-Mart under construction…
Keep um’ coming!!!
Yes, what’s going on with Deveraux and the dagger is definitely still hanging out there in the breeze.
It’ll be a little while before we pull on that particular plot thread again, but rest assured it is a vital part of our plans going forward
“Jeez, it really sucks getting old.”
As someone who qualifies as old, I can only say that as much as it may suck, it beats the alternative.
Thanks for a great comic and I hope you feel better. A hot bath will help, a hot redhead will help even more.
Sounds like you have been reading for a while, but it’s tradition that I say it to all first timers in the comments, so without further ado…
Welcome aboard, Mike!
Yeah, after writing the blog I put a heat pack on my back last night and I’m feeling much better today.
And, thanks for reading!
Called to duty on his WEDDING NIGHT?!? I DON’T THINK SO!!! YOU TELL ‘EM JOE!!!
I commend you sarge, for making Joe and the Princess’ union seem more and more inappropriate every single week.
Inappropriate?!? It is what it is, and I would tell my CO the same thing if I were called to duty in such circumstances- what’s inappropriate is telling him to abandon his bride at this time.
I am married for the fourth time- I know a few things about this…
the Old Sgt.
Does look like a good time going on there- shame the Doc has to call the men to stations… does that band know any “Creedance Clearwater Revival”?
You know you’ve been playing too much Far Cry, when the instant you see the first panel, you start looking for the best place to use as a sniper hide.
Oh, yeah… It’s a beautiful scene, too.
(*searches for loot in all the houses*)
… I do that anyway, and I am not at all familiar with the game you mention…
