And, I can definitely see the parallels.
Wait a minute, someone else has seen Dark Star?! I was beginning to think that movie was a half remembered influenza fever dream or something.
Just a guess: this thing is going to pull a ‘genesis device’ and big bang that universe to rebuild what it consumed making a new alternate reality without the gigareich. basically a reset.
They… literally… created… the… Big Bang!
