Happy (Belated) Valentine’s Day!
Joe’s EPIC first kiss comes hot on the heels of the most romantic day of the year (as close as humanly possible, in fact, considering our strict Tuesday update schedule); proving, once again, that the ThreeOneFive are the MASTERS of webcomic synchronicity. Just imagine the amount of planning it took to make this all line up correctly. We had to pace the story in concert with the weekly posting schedule, which both can be set in stone as much as six months in advance. It’s akin to hitting a hole in one.
WAIT – THIS JUST IN…actually NONE of that is true. In reality we fell ass-backwards into this one, as we do with pretty much every cool coincidence that falls into our laps. It’s just not in our DNA to meticulously plan things like this out in advance. Heck, I’m not even sure what I am going to have for lunch this afternoon. So, don’t expect a rousing patriotic page on or around the 4th of July, y’know, unless it happens totally on accident.
Be here NEXT WEEK as we move within one page of the FINALE of End(s) of the Earth(s)! Doc released the pressure valve inside the volcano, and Joe capped-off his nuptials to the Princess in style – so, what comes next? The FALLOUT from this adventure and the first rumblings of an unimaginable new THREAT are just 7 days away!
Speaking of first rumblings, it’s been a real hoot here at the ThreeOneFive Ranch in the last couple of weeks. It seems every time we check ye olde electronic mail we find a brand spankin’ new DDD page, illustrated by the man, the myth, the legend…DANILO GUIDA! That’s right, Daredevilers, Danilo is back in the saddle again, and he is drawing the most CONSEQUENTIAL DDD pages EVER. No horse$#!%. Hang on to your hats. A storm is coming…
Anyways, till next week!
-Matt-
What a wonderful page.
We may not have seen anything yet from the unimaginable new THREAT, I’m quite sure I already heard some statics on the ether that did sound ominous …
Why thank you, sir.
And, yes, those mysterious transmissions were indeed quite ominous. I wonder if they could be connect to said threat? Hmmmm
Well Done AGAIN!
Nice of the birds to show up, just in time for the photo shoot.
Oh, and it would be kinda funny if you panned back, and everyone else was crushed to death under a massive deluge of falling boulders, and the village was in burning ruins. They you could cut to Joe and he could say a one liner like “It’s OK Cup they were only extras”…
DUDE…you just SPOILED next week’s page. Not cool.
Are you working with How It Should Have Ended?
Because your comment reminds me of Superman summarizing Guardians Of The Galaxy: All these pilots died, but then you were holding hands, which makes it kind off OK in this great HISHE video.
Interesting, so the device is a thermal dissipation/compensator…it prevents the contents of the volcano from ever getting hot enough to erupt. I guess the next mystery is why anyone would sabotage it and what they stand to gain from the ensuing chaos.
Some how I can imagine Dr Weird showing up about now….
Yeah, pretty much. However, I think of it more as releasing the pressure in the volcano, but it would also certainly release heat energy, as well.
And, yes, why sabotage it indeed?
I’d say this tale still has a few Leagues to travel.
We still have McGinty’s face in a dagger, and a dead Doc in the machine to explain (to name a few mysteries).
I can honestly say that I am intrigued, and waiting for the next morsel that team 315 will throw our way.
Plus the ominous transmission that Timothy mentioned, and some other LONG lingering questions that have yet to be addressed.
So, while End(s) of the Earth(s) will come to a close in two pages many of the plot threads will be picked up right where we left off in the next story.
The HELL with that stupid volcano- the REAL fireworks are just beginning!!! Looks like Joe is a natural… and the little lady ain’t no slouch either!!!
I see a future with little ‘Joeys’ and ‘Jolenes’ running amuck to beat the thunder outta the island while Joe seeks comfort in the relative quiet of sea duty… just remember your lessons from “The Pink Poodle” and you will do fine, young fella…
the Old Sgt.
Yep, the boy is a fast learner it seems.
But, with you and Deveraux taking him under your wings how could he not be?
… just s long as he don’t ramble various names in his sleep…
Now I’m thinking less “Timey-Wimey Ball”, and more “Stable Time Loop” (“Back To the Future”-style). Doc already changed the past at some point–and screwed up. Now he has a chance at a do-over, so let’s hope he makes the most of it!
Interesting theory, Crazyman…only TIME (heh) will tell.
Or maybe it’s where two alternate dimensions are a bit thin on the barriers…dead doc wasn’t precisely dressed like live doc mind you.
Hahaha!
Thanks for your comments, Matt.
And a great page again from my friend Smilton!
Hi Danilo, and Smilton!
If you get the chance can you post (or re-post) some links to a few of the other projects you have worked on?
I would love to look at some of your other artwork, out of DDD contect.
