Well, I guess if you want to get technical it’s more of a double-page layout than it is a spread, but it’s better not to spit hairs, methinks. Regardless, after not attempting any double-page layouts/spreads during SotBS or The Cajun Caper, due (mostly) to the constraints of the way we format the pages for the web, NOW we’re endeavoring to find a spot to do it in every story. Once we figured out a way to do it and make it work with our format, the floodgate of ideas came rushing open. No more will we deny ourselves (or you, our loyal readers) the storytelling PUNCH that comes with a well-timed double-page layout/spread. You’re welcome
Anyway, things are getting tense both ON TOP and INSIDE the volcano this week. Doc seems to have fixed the problem of the frozen filter and in doing so finds himself in some decidedly hot water. Meanwhile, the smoldering ash and flaming rocks raining down on the wedding party has significantly chilled the happy mood of the event (see what I did there?). Well, all except for Cup, who seems happy as all get-out to be the ring-bearer. HA!
Be here NEXT WEEK, as Doc FIGHTS for his LIFE in the bowels of the volcano! Also, we feature something that will become a HUGE plot point in the future, so keep your eyes peeled. All of that hits a computer screen near you in JUST 7 days!
In other news, Print Ninja (the company we chose to print DDD) sent an advance copy of Deep Dive Daredevils No. 1 to The ThreeOneFive Ranch late last week and we have been in something of a tizzy ever since its arrival! Suffice it to say, it was GLORIOUS to hold it in my hands for the first time, and since then I’ve read it cover-to-cover multiple times. Everything with it came out absolutely TOP-NOTCH, and I cannot wait for the full shipment to arrive so we can share it with all of you.
Anyways, till next week!
