The Daredevils are in deep trouble, folks.
The Captain’s out of commission, which means the boat is too. Joe’s unconscious, submerged, and sure to drown somewhere in the gaping hole where the shuttle bay used to be. That is, unless Cup can get there first, but he’s nowhere in sight…
And, lets not forget…out there…somewhere in the inky black water…a monster is on the loose!
Be here NEXT WEEK for the HUGE conclusion to Chapter 2! It’s all been building to this. Seriously, if you aren’t already a fan of Danilo’s artwork, after next week you’ll find yourself writing stalker-esque, gushing fan letters to the man! Trust me, I do it all the time…RSS, like, or follow to make sure you don’t miss out!
Once again, I’d like to pass on sincere thanks from the entire DDD crew to everyone who spends a little of their valuable time with the Daredevils every week. We love to make this comic, but it wouldn’t mean jack if you guys and gals didn’t show up to check it out.
As always, hit our blog on Sundays for behind-the-scenes commentary and whatnot. Remember, Evin cries a single tear for every Daredevils reader who doesn’t also read the Sunday Bonus Lunch…
Anyways, till next week!

Hum… In the doc’s medical purse, there’s a instrument that looks surprisingly like something out of star trek… Not to mention all that advanced floating tec above the captain… Just how far goes the technology available to then? /o\
I thought about addressing the questions about the Daredevils’ technology in this week’s blog, so here goes…
Rest assured there is an internal logic to all you see inside the Custer. If this were a monthly comic book, clocking in at 22 pages an issue I would say, “In a couple months all your questions will be answered.”
However, we are serializing a page a week. So, just hang in there, enjoy the story, and eventually ALL WILL BE REVEALED.
As Joe mentioned in Chapter 1, Doc is a man ahead of his time, and for now that’s about all I can say. But, keep your eyes peeled, there will be more hints and teases along the way.
In the meantime, I am enjoying the speculation, so keep it coming guys!
Thanks!
well… What other option we have besides speculating? We will surely keep guessing with whatever is revealed with each page xD
Darn a week long cliffhanger… this does sort of explain one of the image snippets for the comic where there’s a whale attacking the ship for some reason. Looking forward to the next installment.
makes you wonder what specifically caused the probable neuro-feedback though.
For a moment I though (with hope) that the origins might be lovecrafitian… But I’ve seen too many smiles for a Lovecraft-inspired story ^^
that is an interesting idea….but where would we find a sinister preist and a bust of Hestor the unmentionable *Is suddenly attacked by the hounds of thindalos (Sp?)*
Can I just say how pleased I am with the sweet shark eye painted on the sub?
Talk about excessive dependence on software!
All too plausible, unfortunately!

The sub, captain and crew are all named Surely!?!
Do we get to see them sink any Nazi U boats sometime?
“We only have one job and that’s killin’ nehtzees!”
In the last panel, I easily recognise the marine diesel engine and its ‘sector lever’ (off-run-start) in the background. We had one even on the nuke boats as a backup.
