The letter’s recipient is revealed!

Daredevilers, meet Mona Willows. Let me assure you she’s a mighty special lady, but I’m betting that you’re already hip to that, considering Captain Custer tasked his crew with hand delivering a letter to her. I mean, c’mon Captain, haven’t you ever heard of a mailbox? What’s so important that a mailman just won’t do? Just who exactly is Mona to the Captain and vise versa? Those answers and more (oh so much more, trust me) are right around the corner…

But, first, the Daredevils, Mona, and her girls have to deal with one mega-pissed gangster! NEXT WEEK, prepare yourself for the FINAL RECKONING of Wooden-Nickel Sal. It’s all come down to this. One way or the other, the feud between the Daredevils and the gangster ends in just 7 days! Make sure to RSS, Like, or Follow unless you hate the resolution of plotlines.

So, we’ve met Mona, but who is she and where did she come from? In the story, that’s all still TOP SECRET, but that doesn’t mean we can’t reveal her real life inspiration. Well, have you ever heard of the musical, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas? If you haven’t click here and you’ll catch the general drift. The lead character in the musical is named Mona and is played by Dolly Parton. The movie itself is kind-of hokey by today’s standards, but I would contend that it is just about the most fun, heartwarming movie about a whorehouse you’re ever going to find. And, the songs are good too.

Welp, this week’s Sunday Bonus Lunch is an especially good installment, including your first look at Danilo’s art from an upcoming page of PITCH BLACK DAY. Evin’s also got a Twin Peaks motif running through the blog, as well, which is definitely a plus in my book, at least.

Thanks again for reading and your continued support! You guys and gals are the best.

Anyways, till next week!
