Whoa.*
Bet you didn’t see that coming? Don’t worry, as you can see, neither did Doc, and it takes quite a sight to catch him off guard!
This page marks where I really started writing to serve two masters – the goal is to make each page satisfying for the audience reading week-to-week, in addition to furthering the overall narrative. As the weeks pass, make sure and let me know how you think I’m doing.
Next week’s page will, hopefully, surprise and excite as much as this one, and I can absolutely guarantee more great art from Danilo Guida. So, be here on May 8th when Joe and Doc must reckon with… the MONSTER! Ooooh! RSS it!
Before I go, I just want to give a shout out to all the fine folks who’ve stopped by in the last two weeks, and those who’ve said such nice things about the Daredevils. Join the conversation here in the comments, by liking us on Facebook, and following me on Twitter.
And, it’s May, so the voting starts all over again at topwebcomics.com. If you help out and vote ONCE A DAY, we can make a play this month to climb the charts!
Anyway, till next week!

LOVE this page. Great jump into another direction I wasn’t expecting.
I mean, I knew that guy was trouble, but I had NO idea he was a monster!
Trust me, man, things just keep getting crazier in the coming weeks. Chapter 2 is a mad-cap roller-coaster ride leading up to a stunning reveal and a (literally) huge cliffhanger! It’s gonna be fun.
Thanks again!
Definitely liking the direction this is going in!
Keep it up.
That thing looks awesome!
after reading this up to this point, I gotta say, this shit is bomb.
I couldn’t resist the PW ad. And there was no reason I should have. It just oozed quality, and that’s what I got.
So, is anyone here familiar with The Adventures of The 19XX? It’s like an older next door neighbour to this comic. I figured anyone who likes one would enjoy the other.
Thanks, man.
The Adventures of the 19XX looks cool. I’ll be checking it out.
Hmm… From the doc’s reaction I’d say this is the first case of cetaceanthropy he encounters. From the fact that I needed to see his reaction to tell for sure, one can safely deduce that this comic is friggin’ awesome.
By the way, the voting link in the post links to the picture of the vote button, not the topwebcomics voting page.
Very astute! You might be onto something. Glad you’re enjoying the comic!
Thanks for pointing out the voting link issue. It’s been fixed!
I’m liking this comic. Nice visual style. However, for this older reader, the 1990′s (minimum) medical technology sticks out like a sore thumb. Is there an explanation? They didn’t even have transistors back then. Anything electronic was big and simple. The kind of stuff doc is using comes from the accumulation of MANY innovations, not just.one man’s brilliant work!
We used to have an early ’60s computer in the house. State of the art when it was made. 6 feet high, 2 feet wide, 15 feet long, and orders of magnitude less computational power than todays pocket calculators. To someone from the 1930′s it would have been very impressive. (No, I,m not THAT old.)
Good Catch! Stay tuned for explanations as Deep Dive Daredevils continues! There have been subtle hints so far, but the answers you seek are yet to come!
Thanks for reading!
The comic looks great guys. I love the monster’s entrance here!
