Drags Us Down To Hell…
Man, that last panel REALLY makes things look bad for good ‘ol Custer, don’t it. The man’s got one eye, a belly leaking blood like a sieve, and NOW the train is plunging down toward the trench and, ultimately, DOOM.
And, I gotta hand it to Danilo on this one. Well, actually, I have to give him a hand for ALL the wonderful work he’s done and continues to do – making it look easy. But, anyway, that last panel conveys all the desperateness of Custer’s situation without any words needed to muck it all up. As always, thank you, my friend!
Be here NEXT WEEK and come with HOPE in your HEART. God knows the Deep Dive Daredevils need it!
Till next time!

Good call, random officer guy, who shall remain nameless.
Hmm ok so we knew this plan wasn’t going to work because of how the future ended up, I guess the next question is will Custer ride the blast wave like a boss to safety?
I must agree with the above blog.
I love your story telling, but it was Danilo’s artwork that stopped me on a dime when I was scrolling aimlessly through web comics looking for a new one to follow. To say he is a cut above the average is to say Lake Superior is a pretty good sized pond…
I also like Smilton’s style, and thought it was perfect for the Cajun Caper.
Thanks for your words, Matt! Also T.Gatto!
All I can say it´s a blast to work on the DDDs and your stories are always challenging, pushing me to became a better artist.
So, I’m guessing either Custer gets caught by the door, and the robot “does him a favor” by cutting him in half, or he gets caught by the robot, and it’s the door that bisects him.
