An Impressive Find, No Doubt…
Hmmm, a glowing blue meteor…that thing has got to be important, right? Doc and the Giga-Reich sure think so…just sayin’.
Anyway, those of you who follow the comic closely might have an idea of what this blue rock nonsense all means. For those that don’t, fear not, all will be revealed when the time is right.
Be here NEXT WEEK for the battle of the CENTURIES. That’s right, “centuries” plural. Nazis vs. Confederates. A grudge match only possible in a crazy, timey wimey adventure serial like the Deep Dive Daredevils!
Oh, and did I mention, it’s the first page of a double-page splash? Well, it totally is.
Till next time!

OK, so lets spare the Evil Flesh Gollum Nazi Leader, but lure an army (or 2) of simpletons to certain doom, fighting each other, when they could care less about each other were it not for proximity.
Seems to me like Doc is playing the “Maybe life is not so important card”, when convenient. I love the tactics (and agree with them morally) but I find it ironic that Doc uses them, especially with that grin on his face.
OK, I’m being overly critical, so sue me, just don’t take my “Groo the Wanderer Comics”!
Agent of who I wonder? Perhaps the Giga-Reich are not the only mysterious super power in town? He should recruit Abigail Singer, she needs a new spy agency, or so I hear.
As for the meteor, my guess is that; either he wants to sell it to that guy from Creepshow, or Joe Dirt; or it will end up a power source for the Custer, and the reason why they are mercilessly hunted down.
Sorry about the rant…
My bet is on power source.
Very astute insight, T. Gatto, re: Doc’s pacifism or lack there of.
All I can say for fear of spoilers is that the seeming incongruity of Doc’s actions is a symptom of the way that we present the story; one page a week. Keep your concerns in mind as the story plays out for the next month-or-so and we’ll see what’s what then.
Holy Perpetual Plot Twists Batman! This really leans things in favor of alternate reality though I wonder… are these Confederates still packing muskets or do they only look like muskets? The Reich’s energy weapons would outclass civil war era weapons outright leading to a slaughter even at 5:1 odds in the Confederate’s favor.
Next week tells the tale, TKG.
Thanks again for reading!
Erm…”meteorological”? Meteorology is the study of weather, not space rocks.
You are correct. In the first version of the script Doc described the “specimen” as of the “Astrological variety.”
I didn’t like the way it sounded and did a quick search to see if there was another way to describe the meteor. That will teach me to trust Yahoo Answers.
We’ll fix it in post at some point, and you officially get a DDD No Prize.
Thanks for reading!
“And now, for the meteorological report..”
“Tonight’s weather will be cloudy, with a chance of meteor balls.”
Did’t you mean cloudy, with a chance of meateor balls?
Man, I am never going to live this one down, am I?
