…To Be A Captain…
Here it is TRUE BELIEVER…the true origin of CAPTAIN Custer. A lot of threads have come together here…we have another tense stand-off inside a submarine; calling back to the stand-off between Custer and Captain Nixon on the Hunley. Coincidentally, or not, they both end with a GUNSHOT.
This time, though, it’s Custer who is thinking of the welfare of others, and his adversary is thinking only of the mission. Roles have reversed. Lessons have been learned. A character has FINALLY emerged from the blacksmith’s fire…FORGED into the shape of the man he will become.
NEXT WEEK…the bullet HITS its MARK. Be here!
Till next time!

“Well, if you insist…”
heh, this reminds me of a exchange from DS9 that went something like; Odo: And you’d shoot him in the back? Garrak: It’s the best way isn’t it? Clearly the admiral’s mind isn’t going to change, though I do wonder who the dead in a submarine are, The CSS Hunley perhaps?
This is the DDD Universe, where you can leave dead Doc McCarvers laying around everywhere and they still bounce back. Seen one lying around in a volcano once, no worries at all…
He is on his way to becoming the Duncan Idaho of Pulp Comics.
Whoa…!
Pacino was arround here? Ha, ha, ha…
Great dialog, my friends!
Great speech, Custer, but never turn your back on a man with nothing left to lose, not even if you still think he’s a good man.
It’s time to find out just how far both of them are willing to go before realizing that they have to sort out *their* disagreement before they can serve everyone who opposes the Gigs. United we stand, divided we fall, gentlemen.
