Erstwhile…
Here is the first half of a double-page layout, which begins to illuminate the basic mechanics that underpin the Deep Dive Daredevils universe. If you don’t quite see what I mean, well, as I said this is the FIRST HALF of the spread. When it all comes together next week I guarantee it will make a hell of a lot more sense.
(Double-page layouts, as apposed to spreads, can read a bit awkward in this format. Gee, Matt, you just now figured that out after umpteen years of the comic running in this exact format? Yeah, what’s it to ya, Buster? You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? Then who the hell else are you talking… you talking to me? Well I’m the only one here. Who the f**k do you think you’re talking to? Oh yeah? OK.)
Did I say that out loud?
Ahem.
Anyways, be here NEXT WEEK for the full spread – the whole KIT and CABOODLE, as they say in the old country. You won’t be disappointed!
Till next time!
-Matt-
That first big panel…wow! Spitfires vs. Dinosaurs…y’know, that sounds like a great idea for a movie! Somebody call Spielberg!
Based on the rear facing gunner and the under wing 37mm, I believe the aircraft in question is a Stuka (JU-87).
Actually, it looks like a dinosaur and a Spitfire BOTH fighting Stukas.
Basara hit the nail on the head!
Hey guys,
Next time you want to use a picture of me, you should really ask first!
That last panel looks just like me, before I get my Coffee in the morning.
Also you cannot have my eternite, it makes a great beddy bye night light, and it really improves my cable reception…
Welp, you shouldn’t have signed over your likeness writes for that ham sandwich a while back. I mean, it was a hell of a ham sandwich, but was it worth this indignity?
[Burp] Yes.
S’cuse me.
I don’t quite know whats going on in the current page and honestly it doesn’t matter. I’m just glad the mystery rock finally has a name.
As I said, it will all make a heck of a lot more sense once you can read the right side of the spread next week.
