Hmm, now I think there might indeed be a sinister reason for all those cool sci-fi TV shows being cancelled. Who knows, maybe the Giga-Reich is even mightier – and even more evil – than Fox?

That's so cool! Once you see the cube, you can no longer unsee it. Didn't see that coming (pun intended). It's a fascinating coincidence that I just finished watching Threshold, a very cool sci-fi TV show from 2005 that was prematurely cancelled after one season (someone notice a pattern here?) but is available on Youtube, in which a triskelion symbol - and three-strand DNA - was symptomatic for an alien invasion / infection.

Call me old fashioned but I love holding a hardcopy of any sort of comic in my hands. While the whole storage thing is a pain in the ass (just ask my long-suffering partner), I don’t think I’ll ever accept a electronic copy if I had to choose.

That’s a pretty impressive level of research, tkg. I must admit that what you’ve come up with is news to me. Ha!

There is a pretty big clue to the nature of the Giga-Reich in the design of the flag in that last panel. It has less to do with number of “arms” and more to do with their angles. It will all become much clearer with next week’s page.

Yep, we are bummed about the hiatus too (I am going to miss the weekly interaction with you guys like crazy), but to keep the story and the art up to the high standards we’ve set for ourselves it is a necessary evil.

On the next KS: Man, we’re still recovering from/tying up the loose ends from the first one, so I haven’t even really started to think about the next one yet.

But…if I had to guess it will probably be around the same time we come back from the hiatus.
