Maybe I just remember Mina because she was played by Winona Ryder…

Anyway, I think it’s interesting that you’ve never read Dracula before and our comic is your first exposure (other than general pop culture) to the material. If you went back and read it now your perception of all the characters would be colored by our take. Cool!

And, yeah, we’ll look into the italics thing

Whoa! nice interlude-curve ball! I mean that’s one hell of a way to put emotion on a story that’s somewhat detached from the reader. It bears to query, what would the captain think of this? Admittedly I don’t pose many questions to the old man, but I’d like his thoughts on this and the situation in general.

I actually would not have known the name Mina Harker (or Arthur Holmwood, admittedly). Lucy, on the other hand, is a name that I recognize, if only because of its prominence in Blue Öyster Cult's musical adaptation. I'm a bit unusual for having read both The Vampyre and Carmilla but never Dracula. Edit: Whoa. Your comment system does not play well with italics.

As a voting incentive how about a deck plan of the Custor drawn in puzzle pieces, to be completed after voting every week (or two) for X number of weeks (however long it takes).

That or a code (1 number or letter at a time) to be enterred into a drawing to win a free print.

Or if that fails, the secret to Dracula’s Mullett.

You’ve illustrated my point in the blog perfectly. EVERYBODY knows who Van Helsing and Mina Harker are, but mention Arthur and to some extent Lucy, and it’s blank stares all around.

On TWC: We’ve kicked around some ideas for voting incentives, but there is really not much that we don’t share with you guys, either on the main page or in the members’ area.

If anybody has some ideas for incentives that might encourage peeps to Vote for the Daredevils more often, please let us know. We’re all ears!
