From his sweaty brow in panel #3, I picked up on that.

I just admire a man who can try to keep his cool around the prince of darkness (No Not Ozzy the other one).

I’m betting that Dracula underestimates him (Like he did with Harker and Van Helsing). I think Doc could probably do some major damage given ample time and resources.

Oh and I agree, Danilo could draw an honest politician and make it believable.

Exactly. In the script we described Doc in that panel as, “playing it tough, despite the circumstances.”

His feigned confidence in the previous panel makes his total breakdown in the final panel that much more dramatic, and as always, Danilo pulled it off quite nicely.

The idea was he´s trying to look confident, but that sort of diferences like “trying to look” and “being” are hard to show in a single draw… anyway in the last panel all confidence seems gone.

BTW I’m impressed with how calm DOC is looking in the second to last panel, next we will see him sitting on the master’s throne with his feet up!

Well, if you look closely at Page 15 you’ll see that Dracula already has a submarine of his own, so I think you can safely cross that option off your list.

If that is a rocket ship, then I guess it would be relatively easy to build, as a vampire would not need the life support a living breathing person would, oh and it would be easy for DOC to sabotage.

If it is a new submarine, then it would also be relatively easy to build, as a vampire would not need the life support a living breathing person would, and maybe Doc could sabotage it?

If it is some kind of warhead then DOC could just sabotage it I’m sure (and I’m betting that Twitchy would be pretty mad that he missed out on making it go BOOM).

If, however, it is a Rocket/Submarine/Warhead hybrid then I want one (so Doc had better not sabotage it)!
