Interesting nitpick- while the German language has been “Americanized” considerably since WWII, the one Karut yelling “Scheisse!” (pronounced “SHY-zeh”) would not have used that word in that fashion. If he wanted a one word expletive, he would most likely said “Donnerwetter!” (“Stormy weather”). Had a German of that era uttered “Scheisse!” (“Shit!”), his Kamaraden would respond by looking down and asking, “Wo?” (“Where?”).
