You pretty much nailed it all as far as Doc is concerned.

On why a submarine: The short answer is that this is a submarine comic…so, SUBMARINE! There is also a long answer about “matter displacement” and other science-talk that just would have bogged down the comic. Perhaps we will give the full explanation in back matter or a source book someday.

And, no, the submarine on this page is a completely different vessel.

Wait why are they dimension hopping in a Submarine? Perhaps because 3/4 of the Earth is covered by water? It seems an aircraft would be more versatile, but would have other drawbacks.

Is the Custer the same ship just refit to blend in?

So Gene is short for Eugene, and Doc has been around since the beginning. His passive nature stems from his Eutopian origin, as well as his medical background.

I wonder if there are “copies” of everyone in other Gigaverse domains? McGinty was seen in the dagger, perhaps he can return.

So many new questions.

I want a glowy podium like the one Doc’s friend has.
